The ‘American Cyclist – World Champion’ cycling jersey features three graphic images of the groundbreaking rider. Each image is reproduced from historical black and white photographs of Major Taylor, redrawn and fully colorized offering a unique view of Taylor’s classic photographs.
The front image is a full-color rendition of Taylor’s cover photo on the 1901 French magazine ‘La Vie Au Grand Aire.’ Major Taylor was in France for a series of races and was the toast of the country during his stay.
The jersey’s left sleeve carries Taylor’s famous quote: “I would advise all youths aspiring to athletic fame or a professional career to practice clean living, fair play, and good sportsmanship.”
Features: This jersey is constructed using CoolMax-style wicking material for riding comfort. Features include full-length front zipper and three rear storage pockets. A bottom hem silicon gripper keeps the jersey from riding up while cycling. Printed with sublimation ink process to guarantee colorfast, no fade, ever.
