Before Major Taylor became World Champion his cycling reputation had spread worldwide. In Europe, the French sports magazine, La Vie Au Grand Air [“The Great Outdoors”] featured Major Taylor on its cover three times; 1898, 1901 and 1903. These covers feature some of the most iconic images of Major Taylor in existence.
We are now able to offer large-sized reproductions of the La Vie Au Grand Air covers as high quality poster prints. These prints have been digitally scanned directly from the original 100-year-old magazine covers in our collection.
Prints have been enlarged from the original La Vie Au Grand Air size and are reproduced on archival quality, heavyweight paper. We use giclee pigment dye inkjet printing to retain the highest resolution and detail from the original images.
Paper size 17” x 13”. Image sizes @ 14” x 9”. Prints can be displayed ‘as is’ or for more formal display they are sized to allow custom, matted framing [see sample images]. Prints can easily be trimmed to fit standard 16” x 12” frames.
The Major Taylor poster prints are available individually or specially priced as complete set of three. Set of three includes free shipping. Prints are shipped flat and well protected; ready to display.
