The 'Black Cyclone' jacket front design is based on George Van Norman’s photograph of Major Taylor. The photo was taken in Van Norman’s Springfield MA studio in 1899, the same year Taylor won the world cycling championship. The jacket’s rear image is from Taylor’s 1903 Australia racing campaign with his quote: “In a word I was a pioneer, and therefore had to blaze my own trail.”
Features: The 'Black Cyclone' jacket is constructed of medium weight, wind and water resistant material. Includes full-length heavy-duty front zipper, four rear storage pockets [one zippered for securing contents] and a rear reflective safety strip. Jacket printed with sublimation ink process to guarantee color permanence and never fade look.
Sizing: Jackets are sized larger than cycling jerseys to allow for wearing over base layers. A bit extra length is added to the sleeves and rear hem to allow for more movement room when using the jacket as an outer layer. A taller collar than our standard cycling jersey and elastic at the wrists help keep wind and water out.
