Black Cyclone Short Sleeve Jersey
Regular price $75.00
The 'Black Cyclone' jersey takes its image from George Van Norman's 1899 photograph and given life-like colorization. The year 1899 is significant for Major Taylor as he won the world cycling championship. In doing so he became the first African-American to win a sporting world championship.
The jersey rear image is from Taylor’s 1903 Australia racing campaign. This photo was frequently used for promotional purposes while Taylor was racing in Australia. Included are his quote: “In a word I was a pioneer, and therefore had to blaze my own trail”
Features: This jersey is made from CoolMax-style wicking material for riding comfort. Features include full-length front zipper and three rear storage pockets. A bottom hem silicon gripper keeps the jersey from riding up while cycling. Printed with sublimation ink process to guarantee colorfast, no fade, ever.
Sizing: The ‘Black Cyclone’ cycling jersey is designed in Club Cut sizing. Club Cut offers a more comfortable, relaxed jersey than tight-fitting the Race Cut jerseys worn by Tour de France and other competitive cyclists.
