On August 10, 1899, at Montreal, Canada’s Queen’s Park racetrack Major Taylorrode into history as he beat the finest American, Canadian and European cyclists
to win the one-mile world championship. The ‘1899’ jersey pays homage to that
legendary event as Major Taylor became the first Black-American to garner a
world championship in any sport.
The front features a classic design reminiscent of the style Taylor
frequently wore in competition. The rear proudly displays ‘1899 World Champion’
commemorating the year Major Taylor triumphed into history.
This jersey features include a full-length invisible front zipper, three rear storage pockets and bottom hem silicon gripper to prevent the jersey from riding up while cycling.
